Joy School English Level 2 2021.4.6

Joy School English Level 2 builds upon the English and Values curriculum introduced in Level 1. In this level, students are introduced to Joy Ride, a personalized vehicle for their avatar, used to navigate through the curriculum.

Upon completion of Level 2, students will achieve the following objectives:

• Answer simple questions about themselves (e.g., "I'm six years old").
• Understand and respond to simple questions (e.g., "What do you have?" - "I have a pencil").
• Follow an increasing number of one-step directions (e.g., "Put the pencil in the desk").
• Engage with simple, illustrated audible stories and identify basic story elements.
• Recognize and articulate most of the letter names and sounds of the English alphabet.
• Identify initial and ending sounds of common words.
• Practice tracing the letters of the English alphabet.
